The Hands On Horses Program wrapped up a busy season with its final 2011 offering — a Standardbred Xtreme Adult Harness Racing Camp — at Grand River Raceway on Monday night.

Learn to Drive – Youth & Adult
The Ontario Harness Horse Association offers camps for children and adults to learn more about the standardbred racing industry. The highlight of the camp is that the participants actually get to participate in an exhibition race on the final night of camp. 2011 Scholarship Program
The Ontario Harness Horse Association (OHHA) will offer one college/university entrance scholarships to children of active OHHA members. Three scholarships will be at the university level in the amount of $2,500, and at the college level in the amount of $1,500. Money will be distributed upon proof of registration at an Ontario college or university.
The requirements for all applicants are:
- must be the child of an active participating OHHA member
- must be entering his/her first year of full time undergraduate studies leading to a first post-secondary certificate or diploma
- must be enrolling in an Ontario program that is at least eight months in duration leading to an undergraduate degree, certificate or diploma.
